Music at Night 003 w/Damian Definite (Monday July 26)

Wow, what a rocking set last month by OVI M. This month we have special guest Damian Definite.
Toronto’s Damian Definite is perhaps one of Canada’s best kept electronic dance music secrets. But all that is about to change as Damian is steadily making a name for him self globally as a purveyor of quality house and techno music.

An active DJ since the mid-90’s Damian has never strayed from the four-on-the-floor sound and he has played Canada coast to coast lighting up dancefloors at many of the countries top clubs and events from Newfoundland to Calgary, Hamilton to Vancouver, Toronto to Kelowna. Damian’s relentless, crowd pleasing blend of funked-up house, tech-house and straight up techno has earned him more than a few loyal followers as has his roles over the years as DJ, producer, remixer, radio show host and event organizer and promoter.

As a producer and he has been making waves with well received releases on Toronto’s Dirty Deluxe Records and Generation Recordings, Chicago’s Flapjack Records and UK based Kitsam/4Kenzo Recordings as well as Italy’s Musictracx Recordings. A sound engineer by education, Damian’s studio productions have been supported by the likes of Mastiksoul, Carlo Lio, Eric Entrena, Eddie Halliwell and Paul Woolford to name a few lending proof to Damian’s increasing relevancy in the future of dance music.

With more studio releases lined up on a number of labels and an increasingly busy DJ schedule Damian Definite continues his rise on the international dance music scene.

Thanks for a great launch, next one June 28 w/ Ovi M

Thanks everyone for making the first Music at Night a huge success. A huge thank you to Subfractal for making an amazing set. The full two hours is now available for download in the “Past Shows” section of the website. Next month the show will air Monday June 28 at 2:00pm with special guest OVI M.

Ovi M delivers the ultimate combination of pounding beats and crowd manipulation through his music to effectively orchestrate strong energy on the dance floor. His brand of house music is fueled by rich dirty baselines, underground sounds, and killer riffs. Although Ovi M’s primary genre of music is underground tech house/techno, he is confident playing right across the board, from minimal to tribal. Ovi M’s particular track selection & unique style has now begun to ricochet throughout the scene thus making his name more recognizable and in demand.

Ovi M has had the opportunity to spin in the opening lineup for internationals like Germany’s Lutzenkirchen & Italy’s Alex Kenji! Regularly he spins alongside Toronto favorites such as DJ Addy, Carlo Lio, Manzone & Strong, The Junkies, Deko-ze, Greg Gow, Joee Cons, YM, Jay Force, Cam Maxwell, Hatiras and many more!

Make sure you tune in next month for another edition of Music at Night radio on Digitally Imported.

P.S. iPhone users can download the ShoutCAST app from the app store and search for “Techno” and get the Digitally Imported stream.
